In reading the article paper about the Warrington man who has issues with Verizon’s TV service, I would like to point out yet another (though not as serious) problem with FiOS TV service. I have had this service since April, 2007 and until Nov 12, 2007, was able to receive the HD local channels with my TV’s digital tuner with no issues.

But Hillsborough County government is taking a different approach. Phone hassles continue after Verizon cable cut in Sinking Spring (Berks Co.). The company says it repaired a cable that was accidentally severed under Route 422, but some customers say service is not back to normal. Telephone problems since Dec. 16 have loused up a Wyomissing man’s plans to move to a new home in Conshohocken.

"The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and "The Colbert Report" will resume production on Jan. 7 without their striking writers, the Comedy Central network announced Thursday. Atlantic Broadband customers in the Altoona area will be able to watch tonight’s game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the St. Louis Rams on “free TV.” Atlantic Broadband and the NFL Network reached an agreement that will enable the local cable company to broadcast the game to all local Atlantic Broadband customers, said David A. Comcast Corp. predicts courts will reject a new federal market share rule that would prevent the nation's largest cable television company from growing substantially larger. The Federal Communications Commission voted Tuesday to put a 30 percent limit on the share of the pay television market a single cable company may serve.
